Blog SEO – How to Utilize Blogs For SEO

By Jeffrey Randolph -

Blog SEO- (search engine optimization) can be as easy as making sure your articles that you post on your blog are keyword intensive and centered.

Your articles are content, a commodity, which is what article and other blogs are looking for to use for information, or to post on their sites. In blogging, that’s why your articles are king and in demand.

Do you have a blog site? A blog is merely an easy to use web site, that has a software system connected to it enabling you to put content like articles, videos, pictures on your site.

Seek out companies that will build a blog site and host it for you, it is well worth the 2-$300 it will cost.

Make Blog SEO-Search Engine Optimization Easier – Try These Tools

The best software by my experience and the consensus in the market is WordPress. Blog for SEO or search engine optimization will be greatly increased by WordPress.

It is really easy to use to insert media into your article. WordPress has a feature that enables a SEO Pack that puts all the info a search engine is looking for together, including short description of article, keywords, and Title.

This makes it easy for the bots that search web and blog sites to find the keywords that people using the search engines are looking for.

Be patient if your blog site is new. It takes some time about 2-6 weeks before the search engines will give any credibility to your site. So the longer and more content you have on your site the better position your articles, and videos will get in relation to ranking on Goggle,Yahoo, and Bing, just to mention the bigger search sites.

Yes I said videos, they are very helpful in bringing in traffic to your blog, so embed them into your articles.

A great tool to use to get your articles and videos out to other sites is to use a media sharing company like Traffic Geyser, or Content Buzz, just two of many companies who provide this service.

Make blog SEO (search engine optimization), something you strive to perfect, it will return to your business many rewards, increased traffic, leads, and thus profit.

How to Advertise Your Blog on Other People’s Blogs

By Ira Mency -

Blogs are growing, and some even use blogs as websites now. When you reach the point of wanting to drive more traffic to your blog, you may consider advertising on other people’s blog. Here are a few things you should know before doing so.

Research Traffic

First you should research the blog you are about to advertise on. Usually on the blog there will be a traffic indicator. Find out what that is, are they getting a lot of hits? The reason for this is if no one sees your ad, what good will come of it?

Additional Traffic Research

Also look for subscribers via the “Follow Me” box. This is a very common way for people to read your blog now, and can be used with many different services from Networked Blogs to BlogLovin, Blogger or other “follow” services. Another key thing to look for is a Feedburner count or feed number indicator of how many people are “subscribing” to the feed. These additional aspects may mean may mean people aren’t visiting the actual pages, but they are getting updates, or reading via their readers or inboxes. This counts, too! So if the overall page views are low but the feed count is high, you may consider advertising here.

Research Type of Readers

You should then make a determination about the blog itself. Is the content something that will attract people, who will read your blog? For instance if your blog is about antique cars, why would you advertise on a hair stylist blog? You shouldn’t. You should however find a niche that best fits you, perhaps an auto body shop blog, an event planner who hosts car shows, or someone who sells auto polish.

Finding Advertising

In most cases once you settle up on a blog that you think will benefit you, there is a “how to advertise” area of the blog. Requirements should be listed, in case you have to submit a small avatar or your blog to fit in a designated spot. This can be easy for you to do using a free service like Picnik. Usually ads are paid and will run anywhere from a month to three months.

Blog Ad Space Services

Sites like Project Wonderful, BlogAds and other services (search for “advertise on blogs” in your browser) are there to help you find a blog to fit your niche. In many cases these will use a “bid” or “flat fee service” wherein you will be able to see the traffic ranks of the blogs and type of visitors they get and from where they are coming. Project Wonderful also shows your pay per click rate so you can use it for a bit and find out how it’s working for you. Both have pros and cons and you should do your research.

Niche Swap Ads

There are always those possibilities where you contact the blog owner and explain what your blog is about, and offer to cross feature and cross promote one another and swap blog ads. Your chances on this will be greater if your page rank and views are even with or higher than the blog in question and you should mention this in your presentation. Simply contact the blog owner and see what they say.

Why I Hate Blogs!

By Ted Gross -

A couple of years ago, when I first came across these viral infections making their way across the Internet I was thoroughly unimpressed. Blogs seemed to be nothing more than sophisticated “diaries”. Indeed, many web sites offered what were called live journals, originally started as a place for kids to keep their diaries. What was interesting is that they kept it up on the web so their parents would not get a hold of it, but the whole world was allowed access to these diaries. Blogs seemed to be the next step, feeding the dreams of frustrated authors wanting to get something off their chests and trying to get the rest of the world to listen.

I grew to hate Blogs.

As time went on, Blogs still earned my disdain. Becoming ever-more-popular, now they were the realm of would-be webmasters. Those who could not really understand the intricacies of the web and the creation of “real” HTML pages went to the ever increasing number of servers offering free Blog space and software. There they created within limitations of the Blog what would be called “mini web sites”. Oh, nothing with the sophistication of their 500000 page full blown web-site cousins, but nevertheless something that could be looked upon as a place to disseminate information within the vast pits of the world wide web.

I still hated Blogs.

Then as the weeks and months rolled by and the major players such as Google entered the Blog craze, the serious snobs of Internet technology began to take notice. It was the revolt of the plebeians against those who spent their lives matching colors, memorizing Hex Codes, creating menus and finding content for their sites. The Bloggers had the audacity to put up their pages within minutes and begin to start writing, adding, composing and generally taking on the world in the time it took to create the bare shell of one web page. My God! They even used spell checkers!

Oh boy, did I really hate Blogs then.

Then, and when I think upon it to this day, I still cringe – the inevitable happened. One of my clients in a show of how “technologically-minded” he was, began telling me all about his Blog. Trying to impress me with terms such as “tables” and “permalinks” and telling me how he learned HTML by messing with his Blog template, made my blood pressure shoot through the roof.

“Hey,” he said with a big evil grin on his face, “It isn’t that hard! You always made it seem so mysterious. I mean I Blog all the time!”

At that moment I could have thermally burned every Blog in the universe.

And of course I could not get over the useless amount of information that was out there in these Blogs. Millions upon millions of web pages, or precious gigabytes, of golden bandwidth taken up with the musings of people who had nothing better to do! And the Blogs still kept on growing.

I hated them.

Then it happened. I knew it would. I knew it had to. I just knew it. A client asked me why I didn’t have a Blog for my company. After all, Web Sites are great but Blogs he said, were ever better. And so I bit the bullet and put up a one page Blog, linked my “web-site” to it and promptly after 3 days forgot all about it. Let the Bloggers have their Blogs. Real Men & Ladies do Web Sites!

One day while I was about to tear out what was left of my hair in the good old war with the Search Engine Trinity – Google, Yahoo and MSN – trying to figure out just why one keyword was working and the 9,999 others were not, and why my page rank was moving like a yo-yo, and I felt no matter what I did to improve my rank only made it worse, SUDDENLY I see in MSN my site pop up on the first page where it had never been before. At least I thought it was my site. So doing a dance in my chair, and yelling YES YES YES – I click on the link and voila, suddenly my stomach churns in disgust and total nausea. I am brought face-to-face with the Blog I put up 3 months beforehand. NOT MY WEB SITE! MY BLOG!

I hate Blogs with a passion. But you better believe you will find me Blogging every day from now on.

5 Ways to Use Blogs for Link Building

By Vikas Rawat -

When blogs were initially started, they were supposed to be personal diaries of individuals maintaining them. But as the technology evolved, blogs becomes one of few early platforms following web 2.0 technology. And these days’ blogs are used for many motives like personal diaries, professional blogs and for promoting our main websites and services. Today’s article is about using them for building lots of quality backlinks for our websites home and internal pages. Here are my top 10 ways to use blogs for doing massive link building our websites:

1. Create Blogs

So it’s a good idea to create some blogs on popular platforms that gives free blog creation facility. Some of popular platforms that allows creation of free blogs are blogger.com, WordPress.com, thoughts.com, livejournal.com and weebly.com. So you have to create blogs specific to your website niche on these blogging platforms and update them with fresh and unique content. You should link back to your website home and internal pages with targeted keywords within your blog posts. This way, you will be able to create lots of high quality contextual backlinks for your website from these blogging websites.

2. Do Guest Blogging

Concept of guest blogging is getting popular day by day. But still it’s limited to technology blogs, I rarely see usage of guest blogging on other industries like health, travel, education etc. Basic idea behind guest blogging is, creating a list of popular blogs in your niche with their contact details. Now approach these bloggers with your guest posts. Mostly bloggers will accept your guest post if they are of high quality and relevant to their topics, they are covering on their blogs. Acceptance of a guest post means, you will be receiving some quality backlinks for your website from that guest post.

3. Blog Commenting

Few months back, we only talk about dofollow blog commenting. But these days, seo’s and link builders are not worrying much about dofollow or nofollow blog commenting, because these days Google seems to be giving some weight age to nofollow links on related domains. So the idea behind blog commenting is gathering a list of popular blogs in your niche and start leaving comments with valuable information on them. Please don’t try to spam blogs for the sake of few links. Most of bloggers keeps their comments moderated, so the blog owner will read whatever you write in your comment. So you should be leaving a good impression for your website in the eyes of blog owners. If you are adding a valuable comments on blogs, they will surely be approved by blog owners and thus lots of valuable links for your website from blog commenting activities.

4. Do Blogroll Exchange

Get in touch with some popular blogger in your niche and approach them for blogroll exchange. If you have decent website, there is every chance, they will love doing blogroll exchange with your website. Blogroll links are used to be available on all pages of a blog, so you can gather thousands of links from a single blog even if it is a blog with thousands of pages cached in search engines.

5. Do Links Exchange within Content

It is again calling other bloggers in your niche and asking links for your website from their current or future posts. And return, you will be giving similar benefits to those bloggers from your website articles or blog posts. Are you able to do link building using blogs in different ways apart from what I mentioned above, please share them in the comments section below so that other members in the community can also get benefit.

Blog Strategies – Combining Blogging and Social Networking For Greater Publicity

By John Baril -

If you’ve set-up an Internet business but you’re not blogging about it, then you’re missing out on one of the best ways to get free targeted traffic to your website. However, getting a blog up and running and keeping it updated is only part of the story. One of the most successful blog strategies involves taking advantage of web 2.0 social networking sites to publicize your blog posts.

The main reason why social bookmarking sites should be a part of your daily Internet business activities is that many people use these sites as their main source of news and gossip. A popular social news site such as Digg gets a lot of traffic. Digg attracted more than 230 million visitors in 2008. People visit Digg and similar sites to find out what’s new and to share content from the web, including their own blog posts. If users like what they read, they can vote for the article, and if an article is popular enough, it will reach the top pages of Digg and be seen by millions of visitors. Other social sites use a similar voting system.

If the blog posts you submit to Digg and other social sites don’t get any votes, you’re still getting the benefit of building one-way backlinks to your blog, so it’s well worth the time in making a point to submit your blog posts to social marketing sites. Also, it’s very easy to do and quite often takes just a click of a button.

Another benefit from blogging regularly and submitting your posts to social networking sites is branding yourself and building your credibility. Make sure that you use keywords that people are using to search for your kind of business. Social networking will also give your blog a great boost in search engine rankings, and you may find that you can get your site into the top ten of Google for a wide range of keyword terms if you take a disciplined approach to social marketing.

Speaking of discipline, don’t take on too much when it comes to social networking. Too many people try to submit their post to every social networking site that they can find only to feel overwhelmed by the huge number of social networking sites that have sprung up in a relatively short time.

It’s much easier to choose a dozen of the best social networking sites for your business and to concentrate 90-95% of your social networking and marketing effort on making regular submissions to those sites. The other 5-10% of your allocated time can be used to post occasional submissions to other social marketing sites where you want to maintain a presence.

By utilizing a focused and disciplined approach to blogging and social networking, you’ll gain much more publicity for your blog and online business than you will if you take a scattergun approach to social marketing. Combining your blog posts with social networking is one of the top blog strategies which you can implement.

8 Ways to Popularize Your Blog

By Sonali Sengupta -

  1. Write compelling text: To build a loyal blog audience, your content should be interesting and offer something to the readers that will urge them to come back for more. You need to write often and offer your readers some meaningful information to help breed loyalty and maintain their interest.
  2. You should submit your blog URL to various search engines including the popular ones like Google and Yahoo. This will help you to appear in the search results of these engines as they will crawl your blog and include your pages after your submission.
  3. Add links to other blogs in your blogroll: Though many blog owners do not like to put outbound links on their blogs, relevant links to other blogs will not only help your readers get information but also bring traffic from those blogs. The owners of blogs to which you link are likely to add a reciprocal link, thereby sending their visitors to your blog.
  4. Use the comments section: The Comment section of your blog is a simple yet effective tool to bring traffic to your blog. You need to respond to your readers comments to show how actively involved you are with the blog and the opinion of your readers. This two-way conversation between you and your readers will also increase their loyalty. There is an icing on the cake too. Search engines love content. The more active your comment section is, the more content will be created there. The search engines will lap up this fresh and unique content, created by your blog readers.
  5. Use RSS Feed: Make it easier for your readers to read your blog by putting the RSS feed button on your blog. It will also help your feed subscribers to know when you publish new content even if they do not visit your blog.
  6. Use tags: The search engines notice tags easily. Make sure to include tags in your blog posts as it will get you some additional traffic.
  7. Optimize your blog posts: While you write your blog posts, try to include relevant keywords and links. Use of proper and relevant keywords play a major role in search engine optimization. However, do not overload your copy with too many links and keywords, thereby robbing the natural flow of language. If you do so, the search engines may blacklist you and your blog may even be pulled off the search results.
  8. Use social book marking sites: An easy way to boost traffic to your blog is to submit your blog URL to popular social book marking sites like StumbleUpon, Digg, Reddit and Del.icio.us.

Increase Blog Traffic – 4 Simple & Effective Way

By Calvin Woon -

While many people have set up a blog as a personal journal to recount their thoughts, experiences and just about anything they want to write about, there are also a growing number of individuals who are maintaining blogs as a viable source of income. In fact most online marketers keep their own blogs and have shared secrets on how to increase blog traffic.

If you think about it, blogging without anyone bothering to read up the entries defeats the purpose of writing a blog in the first place. Even if you have an outstanding design to attract visitors, it takes extra efforts to increase blog traffic since you practically have to compete with millions of other blogs out there.

One of the best and most effective ways to increase blog traffic is through the use of Twitter. If you do not have an account, it is highly advisable that you should get one so you can tweet other people and convince them to read your blog posts and comment on those posts. Quite naturally, if you have posted an interesting link, there is a high chance people will click on it and be redirected to your blog, and thereby bringing in additional traffic. The same thing goes for you as a reader wanting to participate on a blog by making comments. Most of the time, a community of network is created in Twitter where people follow one another’s post, keep tabs with the latest blog buzz and comment. This means you can look into the possibility of creating a circle of bloggers or tweeters that actively interacts. So the more you comment on their posts, the more motivated they are to do the same for you.

You can also consider joining some forums and participate in the discussions. This may require a bit of finesse since you cannot just pop up and invite others to visit your blog. You will need to establish your presence, casually slip links to your blog to related posts or maybe include the URL in your forum signature.

Another equally effective idea is to set up RSS feeds and install in on your blog site. With the fresh content it is churning out, spiders are bound to crawl and index your pages. You can also opt to advertise your site in your email signatures and business cards. This is especially effective if your blog features specific products and services. Nowadays, people prefer looking up a particular business online as it becomes supremely convenient.

At last but not the least, you can also consider submitting your articles to major directories to effectively increase blog traffic, especially for people who are looking up for particular information you are featuring in your site. Be sure to create at least 300-500 words articles to be sure it can contribute to additional traffic.

How to Advertise Your Blog Or Website Free

By N. Celli -

There are many ways to advertise your website or blog for free. Advertising online is easy to do and just takes a few minutes in most cases, depending on what type of ad you’re promoting. You can take the first step in starting your free advertising by doing a simple search for “free advertising” on any major search engine such as Google, Yahoo or MSN.

Remember when posting your ads, to bookmark the website where you posted the ad so you can return often to repost, edit or delete the ad or ads, as needed. You can save yourself a lot of time when placing multiple ads, by simply first typing your ads in Microsoft Word, then simply copying/pasting that information onto the online ad form fields.

Below are some ways you can start free advertising. Try all of these methods and see what works best for you. Keep in mind, free advertising can be time consuming and will take some manual work on your part but it’s well worth it and will pay off in the long run.

Promote your website or blog by writing articles then submitting them to top article directories

There are many free blog websites like, blogger.com, wordpress.com and yahoo360.com that you can sign up with and start your own blog. Once you start blogging or writing articles, you can add a link to your website or blog in your article exposing your link to anyone who reads it. If you sign up to write articles on Squidoo.com, GoArticles or EzineArticles.com, your articles will automatically show up in search engines when someone does a search with your keyword from the article or blog you wrote, thus getting you free search engine exposure. You can also write an article when you post your blog with the same content and add a link to that article on your blog as long as you still to the policies at that article website. Article marketing is one of the most effective and easy ways to get free traffic to your blog or website, thus getting you and your sites more exposure.

Post your website or blog to free Web Directories

You can find free web directories by doing searches for “free web directories”. Keep in mind, two out of the three listed below require a business e-mail rather then your personal e-mail address such as yahoo, hotmail, or msn due to spam policies. The five largest free directories to submit to are dmoz.org, worldsiteindex.com, domaining.in, webworldindex.com, and searchsight.com.

Join Group Forums on Yahoo, Google and MSN

When you join group forums, you can post your ads free and they will be visable to all forum members once they log into the group forum or via e-mail if they sign up to receive their messages that way. Your ad will show up in the main forums, major search engine of the provider who provides the group forum and all forum member’s inboxes. You should post your ads at least once every day or few days for your ad to be seen, otherwise rotating ads will replace your ad with the most recent post and your ad will most likely not be viewed. This method is very effective and free but requires a lot of time and maintenance.

Send your ads with free group forum mailers

Most group forum mailers will charge you a fee for this service but there are some that offer free trials. The great thing about these mailers is they already have a form set-up to mail your ad to all the group forums you have signed up with so instead of visiting each group forum and posting your ad manually, you do it all in one shot. Most group forum mailers require that you join the group forums they mail to before sending your ad out. This method can be very effective and can mean your ad reaching hundreds if not thousands per day! You will need to use the mailer at least once per day for your ad to be viewed.

Join Free Advertising Forums

This is a great way to start posting ads for free. Free Advertising Forums are easy to find on any search engine and it’s easy to sign up and get

started. You should post your ads at least once per day if you want your ad to be viewed due to the high volume of ads being posted by other members.

Post your website or blog in Social Networking sites or Blog Directory sites

This is one of the most effective free way to advertise. Most Social Networking websites have millions of users and viewers and growing. Sites like Technorati, Del.ic.ious, Blinklist, Digg, Reddit, and Propellar are great social networking sites to start with. Sign up is free and as long as you follow their spam policy, you will get alot of free traffic by social bookmarking. The search engines automatically pick these sites up according to the tags and keywords you use in your bookmark. Do a search for “Top Blog Sites to Submit Your Blog To” and post your blog or blogs on those sites as well. If you do a search for “Social Networking Sites” they are easy to find on any major search engine.

Submit your link to websites with high traffic

Another very effective way to get in the search engines for free through backlinks. Backlinks are sites your website link is listed on. The more sites you are listed on, the more backlinks you will receive – meaning the search engines will find your site when someone does a search with your keywords depending on how many backlinks you have. If you know of a similar website to yours with very high traffic and a good page rank of Google, take a minute to leave a comment or request a link exchange from their webmaster. Each directory has their own policy but once you website link is listed on a high traffic site, it can really increase your traffic. If you don’t see “submit or suggest a site” link, click on “contact us”, and e-mail the webmaster sending a nice, professional e-mail about why you like their website asking them to exchange links with you.

Spend some time and try all these methods and see if your traffic doesn’t increase. There are many ways to advertise, so you will need to use several methods to see which ones work best for you. Keep in mind, high web traffic can depend on what kind of website you are promoting, how well your ad is written and how often you post it. I hope this article was helpful to those who need advice on how you can advertising for free in today’s competitive market. Happy advertising!

How to Advertise Your Blog

By Fauzi Mohd Darus -

Everyday you update your blog. You write about your life and post it on your site. But no one reads them. Then you try writiting about latest technology and gadgets hoping that you will get some comments from readers on the next day but still, not many people comes to your site. But you still continue posting and updating your site everyday, every night. After some period, you realized that you need to promote and advertise your site but you don’t know how.

Here I will share with you some tips on how to promote and get more readers to your site. I’m no expert in site advertising or marketing but I have some little knowledge that I want to share with you. :d

Join bloggers forum

Join and participate in bloggers forum or portals. Introduce yourself and brief politely about your site. Tell them what your site is about. I’m sure in every bloggers forum, there is a section where you can promote or show off your blog. Post something there.

Describe your blog and invite them to visit. If the forum admin enable signature in post (usually it is enable), put your site link in your signature. That way, peoples can see your site link when you post or reply someone’s post on the forum.

Visit other blogs

You must start it first. Don’t wait people come to your site. Visit other member’s blog and drop them some comments about their blog posts. Don’t give comments say something like, “Hey, nice site!” or “I love your site. Cool!” but give comments that relate to their posts. If they read your comment, they also will visit back to your site.

Another way is, if your post same like other people post, trackback their post. I assume you know how to use trackback. :p

Submit to Blog Directory/Topsites

There are many blog directories in the Internet. Submit your site to as many blog directories as you can. Almost of them are free but some of them you need to put HTML code on your site before your site been listed in their directory.

And join topsites too. If your site is on top rank, there will be more peoples now about your site.

Signature in Email

Put your site link in your email signature. So each time you send or reply email, the receiver will see it. So they’ll know that you have a site and they will visit your site to see what your blog is about.

Join Exchange Link program

This program is a two way feedback. You put their site link on your site and they will put yours on their site. The system goes like that. Beside increase your page rank, it also can bring more peoples to your site.

Public Bookmarking

Submit your contents to any public book marking sites such del.icio.us or Furl, etc. There are many to list here. But make sure that you submit on specific topic or people will ignore it.

Submit to Search Engine

Submit your site link to popular search engine such as Google, Yahoo, etc. There are some sites that can submit your site to 20 search engines for free.

Ping your site

This is a must. Ping your site to Pingoat.com or Pingomatic.com each time you update your site. Both of them give the best ping-ing services.

Well, if you have make all these things I’m sure in one week or maybe less, you will have regular visitors that come to your site. But make sure you have good contents on your site or you will loose them one by one.

If you have any comments or want to add up your own tips, feel free to say it in the comment form. Well, thanks for your time and hope this helps! ;)

16 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Blog

By Denise Wakeman -

You’ve got your blog set up and you’ve started posting pithy, useful information that your niche market would benefit from and enjoy. Days go by, you keep publishing, but no one comments and your traffic stats are barely registering. What do you do?

Like any website you own, you must do some blog promotion to start driving traffic to your site. Here are 16 steps, in no particular order of importance, that you can start doing now to get traffic moving to your blog.

1. Set up an email subscription form on your blog and invite everyone in your network to subscribe: family, friends, colleagues, clients, associates.

2. Set up a feed on MyYahoo.com so your site gets regularly spidered by the Yahoo search engine.

3. Read and comment on other blogs that are in your target niche. Don’t write things like “nice blog” or “great post.” Write intelligent, useful comments with a link to your blog.

4. Use Ping-0-matic to ping blog directories. Do this every time you publish.

5. Submit your blog to traditional search engines.

6. Submit your blog to blog directories.

Tip: Create a form to track your submissions; this can take several hours when you first start so schedule an hour a day for submitting or hire a VA to do it for you.

7. Add a link to your blog in your email signature file.

8. Put a link to your blog on every page of your website.

9. If you publish a newsletter, make sure you have a link to your blog in every issue.

10. Include a link to your blog as a standard part of all outgoing correspondence such as autoresponder sequences, sales letters, reports, white papers, etc.

11. Print your blog URL on your business cards, brochures and flyers.

12. Make sure you have an RSS feed URL that people can subscribe to. The acronym RSS means Rich Site Summary, or some may consider its meaning as Really Simple Syndication. It is a document type that lists updates of websites or blogs available for syndication. These RSS documents (also known as ‘feeds’) may be read using aggregators (news readers). RSS feeds may show headlines only or both headlines and summaries.

13. Post often to keep attracting your subscribers to come back and refer you to others in their networks; include links to other blogs, articles and websites in your posts

14. Use Trackback links when you quote or refer to other blog posts. What is TrackBack? Essentially what this does is send a message from one server to another server letting it know you have posted a reference to their post. The beauty is that a link to your blog is now included on their site.

15. Write articles to post around the web in article directories. Include a link to your blog in the author info box (See example in our signature below).

16. Make a commitment to blog everyday. 10 minutes a day can help increase your traffic as new content attracts search engine spiders. Put it on your calendar as a task every day at the same time.

Tip: Use a hit counter to track your visitor stats: how many unique visitors, how many page views, average length of visit.
